Friends of the Eagles Legacy Fund

The Canmore Eagles Junior A Hockey Club is a non-profit society, registered in the Province of Alberta in 1994. For the past 25 years the organization has been community owned and operated. Club operations are governed by a Board of Directors and administered by the Management Staff. The Canmore Eagles are one of fifteen member clubs that compete in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and are one of 132 junior A hockey clubs in the country.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League is a developmental league that offers opportunity for athletes aged 16 to 20 years old. The league works to prepare players to enter college/university as student-athletes.

The Canmore Eagles Junior Hockey program is run on an annual budget of between $650,000 - $800,000. Finances are raised through advertising/sponsorship sales, fundraising events, season tickets and game day revenues. The costs associated with running a competitive Junior A hockey program include ice and facility rental fees, billeting and housing costs, travel and transportation, player equipment, and program staffing.
